RETRATOS A TRAVÉS DE LAS PINCELADAS DE ROCÍO NAVARRO

“Hago mis retratos a partir de mí y de mujeres que son cercanas a mí. La mayoría de los elementos son reales y otros de la imaginación”.
Licenciada en diseño gráfico y animación por el TecMilenio campus Chihuahua, a sus 29 años, Rocío se dedica profesionalmente a la pintura en Francia, donde reside actualmente, pintando óleo sobre tela con un mix de pastel al óleo y colores.
“Expuse mis obras en el 2019 en el marco de un festival latino en una pequeña galería en la ciudad donde vivo, Vic-Fezensac. En Chihuahua tuve algunas exposiciones grupales cuando formaba parte de talleres mientras hacía mis estudios, pero no empecé a dedicarme formalmente a la pintura hasta el 2019”.
Considerando la pintura como un medio revelador de la persona que la práctica, el estilo que implica una obra muestra una parte importante de la personalidad del artista que la realiza, comenta Rocío.
“Mi práctica diaria me ha permitido transmitir con honestidad mis vivencias, cada vez con mayor aceptación de lo que estas son”.
Además, la artista asegura que en sus retratos refleja añoranzas, aspiraciones personales e incluso, a veces, melancolía.
Tengo una fascinación por las caras, siempre la he tenido. Mis papás guardan mis primeras obras, la mayoría son retratos. No recuerdo si fue por consigna o decisión propia, pero desde entonces es lo que más disfruto hacer, resumir las cualidades de una persona en algunas líneas, adivinando su intención y poniendo mucho de la mía.
